In Rainbows is the most generous thing Radiohead has ever made — a record that's unmistakably theirs without ever being closed off. The opening guitar of 15 Step is a runway. Reckoner is a benediction.
What I love most: the rhythm section. Phil Selway and Colin Greenwood are doing the heavy lifting in ways the listener doesn't immediately notice. The grooves are deceptively simple. The song breathes.
Best listened to whole, in order, with headphones, on a long walk.
